Located at 1521 Ogden Ave Ste 103, Aurora, IL 60503, Idly Vada Bistro operates as an indian restaurant serving Aurora in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Aurora, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Illinois run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8:30 AM–12 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (630) 686-2345. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, ivbistro.com.

Aurora is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Aurora follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We were craving for south Indian food and found this Gem in Aurora. We ordered Button idli, ghee idli, ghee roast Dosa and karampuram Dosa. Everything was freshly made and very authentic Andhra tasting food. We loved our server Madhu who accommodated us with our special request. Overall 5 out of 5 stars. We will come back to try other dishes. Also we had the Filter coffee and it was great. Felt like having breakfast in India. Thanks for your amazing service to our community. The best part was my bill was under $50 compared to Simply south or A2b double the price.

Visited this place during their Thursday "Special Chaat Night," which advertises any chaat for $3.99. Unfortunately, the promotion feels more like clever marketing than an actual deal. The prices may look attractive at first, but the portions are significantly smaller than what nearby restaurants offer. For example, Naanis Cafe serves 6 pani puris for $5.99, while IdlyVadaBistro serves only 4 pani puris for $3.99. When you compare the quantity, you're essentially paying about the same price per serving, so the "special" doesn't provide much additional value. The same issue applies to the pav bhaji. The portion size was noticeably small, and they literally served what felt like half a pav, making the dish feel overpriced despite the advertised special pricing. As for the taste, it was mostly average, and some items were below average. The dahi puri was particularly disappointing. The curd was extremely sweetβ€”so sweet that it completely overpowered all the other flavors. It also had a thick consistency that resembled idli/dosa batter rather than the light, balanced yogurt typically used in dahi puri. The result was a dish where the only flavor that stood out was sugar. Overall, I

I love their concept of packing idly in/with a banana leaf, it brings a unique/rich smell and taste like the ones in Vijayawada streets. We enjoyed their breakfasts since their start but recently discovered the Non-Veg menu to be equally good. We had Mixed Mandi and Rava dosa today along with Filter coffee, Mandi(portion can be improved) is by far the best out there and Rava dosa is much much better than Simplysouth or Chowrastha. Their menu is much cheaper than any other restaurant in the Chicago Suburbs, hopefully they continue to be pocket friendly and soulful! Rava Dosa - 5/5 Mandi - 4.8/5 Coffee - 5/5

I tried the chaat items here and it was delicious. The pani puri and the dhahi puri were very good and less spicy. I loved the overall chaat items. It was clean and neatly served. Would recommend to try the chaat items for sure.
